Travelling
by Car
|
|
La
Manga can be easily reached by car. There is a relatively dense network
of motorways in Spain and a 4-lane expressway connects La Manga to it
(MU-312 to AP 7). Motorways have a general speedlimit of 120 km. If the
roadnumber contains a “P” (e.g. AP-7) it is a toll
road. Road toll can amount up to 10 Euro for 100 km.

Travelling
by Airplane
|
|
Airplane
is the fastest and often cheapest way to reach La Manga. There are two
international airports near by with a third one in Corvera opening soon. From the UK
many airlines (including some no-frills airlines) connect to Murica /
San Javier which is only 35 km apart. From continental Europe the
majority of (no-frills) airlines connect to Alicante airport (120 km
apart).
|
|
Unfortunately
there is no recommended public transportation from the airports to La
Manga; The one way fare (taxi) is in the range of 140 Euros (Alicante)
resp. 45 Euros (San Javier). However car renting is fairly
cheap in spain and small cars can be rented from 15 Euros per day in
winter and 20 Euros per day during summer time (Internet rates, fully
insured, excl. windshield and tires as usual in spain). Arrangements
for the car should be done from at home to get these cheap rates.
